Snack & Bible:

We have "Snack and Bible", daily at 3:00.   We try to follow the Liturgical Calendar, learn the Catechism, and read the lives of Saints.   Once weekly we follow the lesson from the children's Family Formation program at Church.  Otherwise, the children typically color a saint picture from Waltzing Matilda or from one of my Saint Coloring Books - The Saints Coloring Book Volume 1 (Regina Press #1220-2) or any pages from this series - St. Anthony of Padua Coloring Book while I read from books listed in the Catholic Mosaic: Living the Liturgical Year With Children or from the following books:

I also read other books that can be found in my Children's Books (Faith & Spirituality) during "Snack and Bible". I learned from Kimberly Hahn's book Catholic Education: Homeward Bound - Useful Guide to Catholic Home Schooling to get a geography lesson in as well.  The children locate the country of origin for the saint. When traveling over "Snack & Bible", we listen to Cat Chat or Holy Heroes CD's.
